POSITION TYPE: Seasonal Part time/Full time
WAGE RANGE: $16
SUPERVISORY: No SUPERVISED BY: Working Chef/ Sous Chefs
POSITION SUMMARY: Produces plated food on the hot line as well as prepping for day to day business under chefs' instruction. Must be willing to work as a part of a team to assure an enjoyable working environment, and quality guest experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Responsible for quality and consistent food preparation and presentation. Work in close liaison with chef/supervisor. Duties include food handling, storage, rotation, processing and presentation, labor and food cost control. Must have knowledge of Health Code and experience in saute, broiler, grill, pantry and dishes. Possible baking of breads and desserts. Must be knowledgeable of all equipment and food cycle information.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Combined standing/walking position for up to 8 hours per shift. Will lift up to 25lbs frequently, up to 50lbs occasionally. Will bend, squat, kneel climb, twist, and reach above shoulder level on a frequent basis; will use hands for grasping and fine manipulation. Worksite is 100% inside and may be exposed to fumes, odors, mechanical and burn hazards. All sensory skills needed.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: Must become knowledgeable of Schweitzer Mountain Resort facilities, services and activities. Responsibilities are listed as guidelines and the position is not necessarily limited to these items.
