POSITION OVERVIEW:

Responsible for taking MRI exams and following established procedures for patient care and safety.

SHIFT: Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM, participates in call rotation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduate of Radiologic Technology Program.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) registered, required.
  • Current State License, required.
  • BLS, required.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Working knowledge of X-ray Equipment and Procedures. Anatomy and Physiology. Knowledge of Radiation Safety. Ability to follow and apply written direction. Attention to detail when performing radiologic exams. Computer and keyboarding skills.

Working knowledge of MRI procedures and protocol. Working knowledge of MRI equipment and hazards common to MRI. Skill in injecting contrast media. Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail when conducting MRI exams.
