PURPOSE

The regional marketing manager reports to the Senior Director of Field Marketing and Events. This position will play an integral role in supporting the Northeast region Builders FirstSource and National Lumber locations for their individual marketing needs with the alignment of a regional marketing strategy.

The Regional Marketing Manager plans, directs, executes and measures marketing strategies and campaign tactics to help BFS win. This includes driving sales, profitability, differentiation, brand preference, customer satisfaction, customer loyalty, and improving company culture.

This role works in conjunction with the local and corporate marketing teams to develop, implement, execute and refine marketing and advertising within the markets we serve and emerging markets.

The Regional Marketing Manager partners with sales and leadership to deliver a comprehensive marketing program that meets objectives and differentiates BFS in the market, including tools, services, events and marketing materials that deliver results. This territory includes NY, NJ, VA, MD, DC, and DE.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Obtain a thorough understanding of our products, internal standards, and differentiators to develop strategies aimed at increasing new business opportunities and brand awareness
  • Create internal and external marketing campaigns, producing content and creative for marketing projects and initiatives to enhance lead generation and brand penetration
  • Analyze existing marketing collateral with a critical eye to Identify and improve current processes when needed
  • Document process procedures and process flow, recommending any changes to make processes more efficient
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to continually optimize marketing strategies
  • Assist with the development and distribution of marketing materials and programs, including, but not limited to, sales collateral, promotional programs, new product launches, loyalty programs, internet and intranet content and presentations.
  • Coordinate the logistics of tradeshows and other related marketing events by working with the Market/Location leadership team, design team and other external vendors as required.
  • Develop, implement, and track marketing programs including social media activity, website content management, online reputation, and search engine optimization (SEO)
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop, execute and monitor strategic marketing initiatives in alignment with regional objectives
  • Produce and manage content for regional company website, blog and social media outlets
  • Requires capturing, editing and posting photo, video and audio content
  • Assisting with the analyses of marketing data, including campaign results, conversion rates, and online traffic in order to improve future marketing strategies and campaigns
  • Conduct market and competition research to identify new marketing and advertising opportunities
  • Working with the local and corporate creative teams, develop and create marketing materials such as flyers, posters, banners, videos, and more
  • Write, proofread, and edit creative and technical content across different mediums
  • Working with vendors, such as marketing firms and agencies, promotional groups, graphic designers, printers and industry associations to ensure timely completion of marketing projects.
  • Cultivating strong partnerships with product manufacturers and developing unified marketing programs to achieve mutual objectives and maximize return on investment.
  • Defining and managing annual marketing spend in accordance with regional marketing budget.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, communications, graphic design, or a related field
  • 5-7 years of direct experience in marketing

COMPETENCIES

  • Strong knowledge of various marketing and analytics tools such as Sprout Social, Google Analytics, Google Ads, Facebook Ads and more
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative suite, especially Adobe Lightroom and/or Photoshop, Adobe Spark, and video editing software
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to turn data insights into action
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Skilled in writing and editing content with high attention to detail
  • Strong prioritization, organization, and project management skills
  • Self-motivated and willing to demonstrate independent initiative for maximum productivity
  • Ability to travel as necessary
