Hanger, Inc. is seeking a dynamic and strategic leader for the role of Vice President of Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO). This position holds a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing the organization's project portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and resource constraints. The VP EPMO will drive excellence in project management practices, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and lead transformative initiatives to support Hanger's mission of enhancing mobility and improving lives.

Your Impact
    Lead the establishment and development of the EPMO team, including recruiting, training, and fostering a high-performing culture to effectively execute strategic initiatives and drive organizational success.
  • Collaborate with initiative leaders to drive successful project execution, providing strategic insights to overcome challenges, ensuring appropriate resource allocation, and facilitating a seamless transition to "business as usual" upon project completion.
  • Engage in cross-functional collaboration to address issues, mitigate risks, and implement necessary changes.
  • Directs projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered promptly and within budget constraints.
  • Partner with the HR leaders to comprehend the cultural and talent implications of transformational initiatives, ensuring the development of a comprehensive talent, culture, and change management strategy.
  • Oversee the management of Hanger's project portfolio, ensuring projects are selected, prioritized, and executed in alignment with strategic priorities and resource constraints.
  • Develop and maintain project selection criteria and prioritization frameworks to optimize portfolio value and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Establish project management governance frameworks, methodologies, and standards to ensure consistency, efficiency, and quality in project delivery across the enterprise.
  • Define project management processes, roles, and responsibilities to promote accountability and transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project management teams, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Develop and nurture talent within the project management function, providing coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior leadership, business unit heads, project sponsors, and external partners, ensuring effective communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle, facilitating collaboration and buy-in from stakeholders.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues to minimize disruptions and maximize project success, optimizing the allocation and utilization of resources to support successful project execution and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Monitor project performance against established metrics and KPIs, providing regular updates to senior leadership and stakeholders, driving a culture of continuous improvement within the project management function, seeking opportunities to enhance capabilities, and deliver greater value to the organization.
  • Ensure that project management practices comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and internal policies, upholding ethical standards and promoting transparency and accountability in project execution.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, project management, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of driving strategic transformations and delivering tangible results within complex organizations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • PMP or other relevant certifications preferred.
