We Are Looking For:

Montana Instruments, a growing high-tech Company in Bozeman Montana, is seeking a Human Resource Manager (HRM). The HRM is responsible for providing support in functional areas of Human Resources (HR) including but not limited to recruitment and employment, personnel records, employee and/or labor relations, compensation management, training, and special projects. The position also provides support to company managers in the implementation of HR policies and procedures and prepares reports in conformance with regulations and organizational needs. This is an HR department of one.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate official internal documents such as offer letters and written warnings.
  • Conduct employee onboarding and help organize training and development initiatives.
  • Provide support to employees by answering questions and addressing issues regarding leaves, compensation, and other HR polices as required.
  • Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace.
  • Undertake tasks around performance management.
  • Maintain job descriptions and salary ranges.
  • Ensure compliance with labor regulations.
  • Works with supervisors and employees to investigate and resolve issues and complaints.
  • Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form.
  • Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, applying new perks and benefits and organizing team building activities.
  • Assist managers in taking appropriate disciplinary action against employees who violate rules and regulations and addressing employee grievances.
  • Develop and implement human resource policies and processes.
  • Assist with talent acquisition and recruitment processes.
  • Participates and represents Montana Instruments in Atlas Copco initiatives related to People and Culture.
  • Processes Payroll.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 5+ years' experience in Human Resources.
  • Certification in Human Resources preferred.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with HR policies and procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of hiring processes.
  • Understanding of HR best practices and current regulations.
  • Sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Customer-focused attitude, with a high level of professionalism and discretion.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of ERP software, preferably Epicor.
  • Strong leadership skills and empathy to ensure employees feel safe voicing their concerns.
